5 Tips For Bowhunting Turkeys With 4G Cellular Remote Control Camera

5 Tips For Bowhunting Turkeys With 4G Cellular Remote Control Camera

Are you planning to harvest turkeys with a bow this spring? If you have hunted turkeys before, you know that this is not an easy task. Hunting turkeys with shotguns is usually enough to make hunters crazy, let alone the challenge of adding sticks and ropes. Successful harvesting of turkeys with a bow may be one of the hardest, but most beneficial, huntings you will become one of them.

Here are a few of their tips for bowhunting turkeys this spring:

1. Scouting

Spend some time in the woods before the start of the season so you can be as prepared as possible before the opening. Look for habitat, turkey feathers and feces, feeding areas, and tourist routes. Once you find some turkey logos or look like some good locations, it’s time to hang your gossip camera.

2. Trail Cameras

Get your 4G cellular remote control camera out now and keep them out throughout the turkey season. The trail cameras will help determine when the turkey is in certain locations so that you know when to target these specific areas while hunting.

When setting up the camera, remember this location and set it accordingly. For example, you might want to set the camera to Time Lapse mode when viewing a large venue or new location, and you are not sure where the turkey enters or leaves. The camera will take an image of the entire venue, so you will eventually capture the game 200 yards away, while traditional game cameras usually don’t trigger photos.

Our latest 4G trail camera Watcher1-4G is one of the most popular cameras in the market. It has excellent performance that supports sending 30s HD video and 20MP original image, which is not available in the other cellular camera, that is why we highly recommend it to you.

Now, our R&D team has developed many new potential products, like night vision, rangefinder, etc. If you are interested, kindly visit our official website to learn more, any questions, feel free to contact us.

3. Setup

Use your trail camera to imitate the birds and set your ground blinds accordingly. If they don’t call, it’s usually best to sit down and wait for them to go out; remember, you are hunting with a bow instead of a shotgun, so running and guns are much more difficult. Normally, your gossip camera will tell you where you need it. Remember what you learned about your camera photos and stick to them.

4. Decoys

A bait usually helps bring the birds into the bow while keeping your eyes away from you, but we sometimes put them on the bait. When this happens, we usually pull the bait to a verified location, and then we pattern them with the WildGuarder Trail camera and ambush them. It depends on the mood of the bird.

5. Shot Placement & Recovery

Using a shotgun, we aim at the bottom of the neck so that the pattern covers his head and neck. With the bow, if possible, we prefer to shoot on the flanks, so the injured bird can’t fly away, which makes it harder to recover. Whether we use a bow or a shotgun, as long as we shoot a shot, we will follow the bird and grab its head, just in case.

In the turkey season, it is best to have positive prospects and patience! Turkey is a fickle creature, and even having a “perfect setting” is often not enough to harvest Tom. Make sure you prepare in advance by scouting with a trail camera and remembering the above tips. Harvesting a big long beard with your bow is all the trouble worth it. Stay safe and enjoy the fun of this turkey season!
